In the last couple months I’ve seen three people with zero experience get hired for awesome jobs. Two of them weren’t even self-taught; they’re being sent for training on their employer’s dime.
This might make some optimistic. I want it to give me hope but, instead, I find myself being rather jealous and bitter. Solution:
Taking deep breaths (as much as I can while waiting for nasal surgery) and generating positive thoughts and gratitude is my plan for the morning.
“At some point, everything’s gonna go south on you and you’re going to say, this is it. This is how I end. Now you can either accept that, or you can get to work. That’s all it is. You just begin. You do the math. You solve one problem and you solve the next one, and then the next. And If you solve enough problems, you get to come home.” – Mark Watney
